Can I get a refund if I return the camper early?

No, we don't offer refunds for early returns. 

Do I need to bring a credit card when I pick up the campervan?

Yes, regardless of how you pay the deposit. The driver that books the camper needs to bring a credit card. That credit card will be put on file for insurance purposes.

Does it matter which credit card I bring?

Yes, the lessee (driver) will always need to bring a valid credit card for insurance purposes.

How can I pay for the rental?

The rental can be paid by 

1. Direct bank deposit. (Account details are on your confirmation)
2. Credit/debit  card (Mastercard & Visa)

What is included in the rental price?

We offer a complete camping experience so we do not charge for any basic extras. All campers come complete (including bedding) ready for you to start your adventure. Rental inclusion lists are available under each camper category.

When do I pay for the rental?

We require a 20% deposit within 5 days of confirming your booking. The final balance is due 28 days prior to pick up.  We do offer specials at times for full prepayment with 5% discounts.

Are your campervans suitable to drive the Gibb River Road?

Yes. They are the best ones available for exactly that purpose.

Can we use a child seat in the camper?

Yes.

Do I have to clean the camper before returning?

Yes.

There is a penalty fee for returning a camper in an absolute mess. 

Do you have campers with automatic transmissions?

Yes. All our campers have automatic transmission.

Do your campers have a tracking system?

Yes, all our campers come with a GPS tracking system. This is for safety reasons only. You are not able to turn it off. 

How can I charge my phone, camera and other electronics?

Yes. All the campers have 12v charging points and USB charging points.

What is the fuel consumption of the campers?

Our vehicle’s are all very modern are all diesel engine.

Are you open all year round?

You can book campers all year round. We also have emergency services 24/7, 365 days a year.

We operate out of three depots/locations. Perth, Broome & Darwin.

Broome & Darwin are closed each year from December until March. 

Perth is open all year round.

(Special drop offs or pick ups can be arranged)

Can I pick up or drop off the camper outside opening hours?

You can pick up  the camper outside of our regular opening hours on a case by case basis. An out of hours fee would apply.

Do you offer emergency breakdown services?

Yes! We are by the phone 24/7 and will offer assistance in every way we can. We have a dedicated service number that is included in every camper. Our team will help you find a solution to any problem you face.

We have contacts all around and if the problem is with the equipment or camper we provided, this service is, of course, free of charge.

If it's specified in the contract that expenses related to the problem aren't included in this service, for example, if you have a flat tyre, which is the renter's responsibility to fix, don't hesitate to call, regardless. We can still help you find the garage to have the tyre fixed, help you find the local assistance that's available, or even help you pinpoint your location, so you can order assistance or services. 

The A/H number provided is for after hours use and for emergency or breakdown services only. We are happy to answer general questions anytime during normal office hours.

What are your opening hours?

We are open all days of the week from 09:00 (9 am) to 18:00 (6 pm). You can see the local time in Iceland at the bottom of the page.

What if my flight is delayed?

It happens. We commiserate. You need to let us know as soon as you can. It may delay your vehicle pick up until the next day.

If we know what is happening we can assist you better.

Where do we pick up and return the camper?

The pickup and the drop-off locations & times are always on you vehicle booking.

We do not accept camper drop-off anywhere else without prior arrangement.

You can not return the camper at the airport or leave it at your hotel.

Website and Booking

Can I add multiple drivers?

Yes. You can add as many drivers as you have with you in the group. They must all be at least 23 years of age and they must all show their driver's license when they arrive to pick up the camper.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes! Please refer to our terms and conditions for more details.

Can I make changes to my reservation?

Yes. Where possible we are happy to change your reservation.

How old do I have to be to rent a campervan?

The minimum age is 23. 

I can't book a camper on your website, what should I do?

We do not allow campers to be booked directly on our website. We prefer to talk to our guests (via phone or email) to ensure the product is suited to your needs. Most of our guests travel into remote locations so we can also offer advice.

Insurance

Can I add the insurance when I pick up the campervan?

Yes, you can add the insurance and any extras you want to add to your booking when you arrive.

It is preferable to do this prior as it gets you started on your adventure sooner.

Is insurance included in the rental price?

All of our vehicles are fully insured and when hired require a security bond to be paid. We offer two options to reduce this security bond. (Excess)

We recommend everyone read the insurance section of the Terms and Conditions.

What kind of security bond reduction do you offer?

In summary we offer 3 options.

Top cover – Reduce excess from $6000 to $1000. Includes 2 tyres, glass cover and towing from unsealed roads. (pre authorisation only)

2.    Middle cover – Reduce excess from $6000 to $1000 (pre authorisation only)

3.    Basic cover as standard $6000 security bond

**Please note unless stated “pre authorization only” security bonds are collected at time of pick up on credit card.

What kind of insurance do you recommend?

That's not easy to answer.

We experience cases where people regret not having purchased additional insurance and we also have loads of customers with all the insurance options that never need to use them. It's just the nature of insurance.

We also recommend that you keep in mind that damages due to -

Overhead damage

Underbody damage

Breaches of terms and conditions (Eg excess speeding)

- are NOT covered by the insurance.

We also recommend that you look up what kind of insurance you already have. Such as Travel Insurance, Credit Card Insurance etc.
